ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: We are a growth oriented community with a strong sense of identity with our historic past. The linked site has been developed to assist existing New Milford companies in growing their business, out of town businesses looking for a new place to locate their company, entrepreneurs looking for help in starting a business, and local citizens seeking information about local business. A wealth of news items, business resources, contacts and helpful links are included in the linked pages.

THE GREATER NEW MILFORD CHAMBER of COMMERCE : We receive a lot of mail asking for recommendations for a specific business, e.g. Would you recommend a good restaurant? Would you give me the name of a broker who can help me find a summer rental? As you might imagine, we believe that it would be unfair to make such recommendations and instead we have referred the writers to their favorite search engines.  Now we will refer such mail to the GReater New milford Chamber of Commerce.  While this may not be the ideal solution since not every business in Town is a member of the Chamber, it is, we believe, consistent with our goals.
