Brookfield and Sherman residents need to obtain their own sticker from their Town Hall. There is a detailed flyer available at the Recycling Center and the Public Works office. The fee to use the Center is $10.00 per year for residents, $25.00 for Commercial (10 employees or less) and FREE for Senior Citizens (65+). The Center DOES NOT accept CASH, just checks or a punch card. Punch Cards are sold in the following locations during their normal hours of operation: Public Works Administration Office, Town Clerks Office and Library. Each card has a value of $32.00 in increments of $0.50, $1.00 and $2.00. The Recycling Center accepts household waste from NM, Sherman and Brookfield residents every day during the hours of operation and until 12:00 (noon) on Saturdays. The average garbage bag is $3.00 for NM residents and $3.50 for Sherman or Brookfield. Garick (www.garick.com) has purchased the New Milford Farms site to do substantially the same as before-accept brush and leaves.
