| Engineering Department The Engineering Department also includes the Road Construction Supervisor. The engineers are responsible for plans, miscellaneous drainage projects with the highway department, land use reviews, bridge inspections and many other functions. The road construction supervisor issues permits for driveways, excavations and any work that is done in the Town right-of-way (ROW). To issue these permits the RCS must inspect the site multiple times. The engineers also are project managers on bridge restorations and large road repair projects. A considerable amount of time has been spent on the Downtown renovation-Railroad Street. ID (911) Number Addressing Rules - All new street addresses are assigned through the Engineering Department which reviews the current neighboring addresses to prevent confusion or overlap for safety purposes. 911 Map- This map will be updated as needed. Contains a listing of Town roads, Private roads, State roads and unpaved roads. Driveway/Excavation Permit for any work to be done in the Town Right of Way including driveways, excavation, trash dumpsters, road or sidewalk closures and utilities. ROW Application Sketch Tree Permit - For any work to be done in the Town ROW and needs approval from the Tree Warden.
