Vision Statement
The New Milford EDC exists to promote business development that will create sustainable wage jobs, expand the non-residential tax base and provide additional services desired by the people of New Milford in an atmosphere of smart growth and preservation of the unique character of the community.
Policy Statement
Working in cooperation with the Mayor, the Economic Development Office, town boards, commissions and agencies, the New Milford EDC will achieve its vision for economic growth in these ways:
- Assist existing New Milford businesses through a proactive business retention and expansion program.
- Recruit new business and industry to New Milford with the potential for market longevity and creating quality jobs that allow people to live and work in the community.
- Support efforts to preserve existing community resources that define New Milford's unique character, including the classic Village center, farming heritage and significant natural resources.
