When your family needs it most: state-of-the-art medical technology right at your doorstep … and a caring attitude that’s never out of date.
The health care needs of the New Milford area are met by our in-town hospital, and its close-knit community of dedicated medical and dental professionals. Several local health agencies support their efforts. For specialized care, hospitals in nearby Danbury, Waterbury, Hartford and New Haven offer additional options. And the world-renowned medical facilities of New York City are within easy reach.

After New Milford Hospital and the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center of New York City signed an affiliation agreement in 1995, the two institutions started exploring ways to enhance their collaboration for the benefit of the community …
Together, we agreed to build a brand-new regional Cancer Center to deliver state-of-the-art treatment in a community setting. The $7.5 million facility opened in April 1999 and is providing care to many more patients, from a wider geographic area, than we had projected. Both radiation therapy and chemotherapy are offered in the new building, with surgical interventions also available in the Hospital. The quality of our locally delivered care is enhanced every day by virtue of our link to Columbia-Presbyterian, one of only 34 hospitals in the country designated as Comprehensive Cancer Centers by the national Institutes of Health.
Our radiation oncology professional staff maintain their privileges at Columbia-Presbyterian and have found that they can easily call upon its world-class resources to help their patients, while still being able to live and work locally and to enjoy the wonderful quality of life that the New Milford area provides.
