Search by location: Pick street from drop down list and select street number from dropdown list. Select view and it will show the parcel. If you select info then ownership etc will show. You can get abuters and print mailing labels or lists. Check ownership on www.visionappraisal.com to make sure it has not changed. Once this is available on the Vision Site then ownership will be updated monthly as it is now.
Purpose of the Assessor's Office: Created by the Connecticut General Statutes, the Assessor's job is to make sure that taxes are levied in accordance with the provisions of the CGS. The office places values on all taxable property at a uniform rate. It processes the annual forms filed by owners of taxable property. It certifies tax exemptions. It is responsible for the real property valuations that are done every 10 years and also statistical valuations.
