The Harts Gallery, the first contemporary art gallery of its kind in Litchfield County, opens August 1st. The gallery will be housed in a 5,000 square foot storefront at 20 Bank Street.

The gallery's premiere show, Love and Sacrifice, brings together the work of six artists with ties to the community, photographers Evan Abramson and Tealia Ellis Ritter, mixed media sculptor and installation artist Lauren Booth, painter Sebastian Tillinger and local well known mixed media artists Elizabeth MacDonald and Peter Wooster. For many of the artists this will be their first time exhibiting outside of New York, Los Angeles and London.

The Love and Sacrifice exhibit will run through September 30th.
