5/30/2014 - Blood Pressure Screenings Available

The New Milford Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice (NMVNA) in cooperation with the New Milford Health Department (NMHD) are announcing that weekly blood pressure screening clinics will be conducted on the first floor of New Milford Town Hall, 10 Main Street, New Milford starting on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

According to the American Heart Association high blood pressure is one of several important risk factors that affect your risk of heart disease. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can have serious consequences. It is sometimes called “the silent killer” because high blood pressure has no symptoms, so you may not be aware that it’s damaging your arteries, heart and other organs.

Having your blood pressure checked regularly and knowing your blood pressure numbers will allow you to take action to change it. For your health – Check it and Change it!

Blood pressure screening clinics are being offered every Wednesday starting on April 23, 2014 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at New Milford Town Hall, first floor.

No appointment is necessary.
