Early Voting Window

Vote early in person at the John Pettibone Community Center, 2 Picket District Road during designated early voting hours:

Standard Days: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily (including Saturdays and Sundays: October 24, 25, 31, and November 1)
Extended Hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29

On Election Day

Location: Town Hall (Lower Level), 10 Main Street
Hours are 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Same Day Registration takes place at Town Hall, not at neighborhood precinct polling stations. You must be in line by 8:00 PM.
Connecticut Voter ID Requirements
For Same Day Registration (SDR): You must provide proof of both identity and bona fide New Milford residency:
- Proof of Identity: A CT driver's license, state-issued non-driver photo ID, learner's permit, passport, college ID, or Social Security card.
- Proof of Residence: A document displaying your name and current residential address in New Milford (e.g., driver's license with current address, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or lease).
* An affidavit cannot substitute for proof of residency during Same Day Registration.
Standard In-Person Check-In (Already Registered): A photo ID is not required. Acceptable options include a Social Security card, or any document showing your name and address, name and signature, or name and photo. Registered voters without ID can sign an identity affidavit (Form ED-681).

Submit or postmark your registration application by Friday, October 16, 2026.

In-Person Election Day Registration
Eligible residents may register and vote in person on Election Day at Town Hall (Lower Level), 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Your absentee ballot application must reach the Town Clerk by 4:00 PM if requesting a ballot by mail or in person.
