  • Vital Records Our office maintains Birth, Death and Marriage records as well as issuing certified copies of these vital records. We also maintain Burial and Cremation permits along with the Sexton's Reports from our local cemeteries. We also issue Marriage Licenses for marriages taking place in the Town of New Milford
  • Election Administration The Town Clerk's Office plays a central role in the election process, working alongside the Registrars of Voters to ensure elections are secure and accessible

    Candidates - The Office maintains campaign finance filings and candidate certifications for local elections. We also certify nominating petitions for candidates seeking to appear on the ballot.

  • Ballots- The Town Clerk is responsible for ordering and creating the official ballots used for early voting, absentee voting, and at the polls on Election Day.

    Reports & Certifications- After polls close, the Clerk compiles the official election results and forwards them to the Office of the Secretary of the State

    Public Notices - The Clerk is legally required to publish official notices of upcoming Primaries, Elections, and Referendums to keep the community informed.
