The New Milford Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission (IWC) was established in 1988. The IWC carries out the requirements of State Statutes to assure proper use, protection, and maintenance of the Town’s freshwater wetlands and watercourses.
The Wetlands Enforcement Officer performs site inspections, reviews permit related documents, and is available for consultation by appointment.
Please apply for an Inland Wetlands application on the ViewPoint Cloud Online Permitting System. You can review pending applications at ViewPoint Cloud Online Permits.
The Inland Wetlands Commission regularly scheduled meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7 pm in the E. Paul Martin Room, 2nd floor of the Town Hall (unless otherwise noted). ***Please note the meeting room change in 2024 to the Loretta Brickley Conference Room - Lower Level of Town Hall.
