Youth Diversion Team and Truancy Referrals

Youth Service Bureaus in the state of Connecticut are the referral source for schools, police, parents and guardians for support, services and recommendations for truancy, court diversion, and defiance of school rules.

The Youth Agency will work with the family, youth and schools to identify issues and address concerns.  Addressing the concerns may include assisting with academic support, referral to counseling and positive community involvement, parent support, mediation, addressing medical or financial barriers and more.
